Mifflintown, PA (August 29, 2019) --
In high school football’s 10 games schedule, every game is critical. And tomorrow night’s tussle with the Bulldogs is certainly that!
The remaining nine games are all league games and Tri Valley appears to be in the middle of the pack, somewhere between # 3 and #6. This is a game we really need to win.
This year as in every year, there are two goals—win the TVL and qualify for Districts. The prospects for achieving these two goals are definitely diminished with a loss tomorrow night.
I really like our chances in this game. I think we are going to be able to do some things against Tri Valley that we couldn’t do against West Perry. And more importantly, Kenyon Johnson will not be on the field.
I think we will move the ball and score and I think Tri Valley will also. I just think we will do it a little more often.
Of course, there is an elephant in the room. Over the last decade the Bulldogs have had our number. But breaks and bad bounces tend to even out over time. Seeing as how this is the last time in the foreseeable future these two teams will meet, THAT TIME IS NOW!
