JUNIATA & EAST JUNIATA BOYS SOCCER HEAD TO DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS


Both Juniata & East Juniata Boy's Soccer will compete in their respective district championships Thursday evening.


Juniata will travel to Hollidaysburg to take on Cambria Heights at 7:30pm.


East Juniata will travel to Danville to take on Northumberland Christian at 8:00pm.

NO INJURIES IN PORT ROYAL CRASH


Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, Friendship Fire Company, and Central Juniata EMS responded to a one vehicle crash on Market Street in Port Royal Borough Tuesday Morning.


At around 5:16AM, Kurt M Little, 30 of Shermans Dale struck the bridge abutment and lost control of the vehicle. Little was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was uninjured.


THEFT BY DECEPTION


An 85 year old McAlisterville woman reported to the Pennsylvania State Police that she was the victim of a scam call where she lost over $100,000.


The scammer posed as Publisher Clearing House and told the victim she won a grand prize. The scammer then relayed that they needed funds from the victim for storage and processing fees before she could collect the prize.


The public is reminded to be cautious about providing personal information over the telephone.


TWO VEHICLE TUSCARORA TOWNSHIP CRASH


Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a two vehicle crash in Tuscarora Township, Juniata County.


Richard Crawford, 96 of Port Royal struck James Walker, 58 of East Waterford at around 6:53am on Tuesday morning at the intersections of Mountain Road and Route 75.


Both vehicles suffered disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. Crawford was charged in the incident. Walker was transported to Lewistown Hospital for a suspected minor injury.
