PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY HOLDS OPENING DAY
Port Royal Speedway held their 81st opening day on Sunday for 410 Sprint Cars and Super Late Models.
Dylan Cisney won the sprint car feature, Dillan Stake won the late model feature.
Port Royal Speedway and the Juniata County Agricultural Society also announced a purse increase for regular weekly shows. Admission prices will not increase from the normal $20 for regular weekly shows.

FOUND PROPERTY/DRUGS
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating a found property type incident that occured in the area of 1147 Indian Mound Road in Beale Township, Juniata County.
A fire resistant safe was found in the Tuscarora Creek on or around February 8th. The safe was recovered from the creek and is being held by PSP at Lewistown.
Anyone with information regarding the safe or wanting to claim ownership is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown at 717-320-1010.
THEFT OF VEHICLE PARTS
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to Joe Krentzman & Sons Inc in Decatur Township, Mifflin county for a reported theft.
Zachary Lewis Tyler Sassaman stole a plow from his cousin and then sold it for scrap. Charges have been filed.
DRUG POSSESSION
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown were dispatched to 5867 US Highway 522 North in Decatur Township, Mifflin County for a reported suspicious vehicle.
Upon arrival, the occupant of the vehicle, Trent Dunmire, 21 of McClure was found to be in possession of of drugs and paraphernalia. The incident remains under investigation.
FAYETTE TOWNSHIP HIT AND RUN
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to Laurel Run Road for a one vehicle crash in Fayette Township, Juniata County.
Russell F Booher, 69 of McAlisterville was traveling on Laurel Run Road toward Mountain Road when a few deer came out onto the roadway. Booher traveled off the roadway and into a ditch striking a tree before coming to rest on Mountain Road at Ridge Road.
Booher then fled on foot and left the vehicle partially on the roadway without reporting the crash. He has been charged in the incident.
