ROBBERY WITH FORCE
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown were requested to a scene on Hawstone Road in Granville Township, Mifflin County for a reported robbery/aggrivated assault.
On March 27, 2023, Joseph Gregg, 37 of Richfield, entered Wade Floors, located at 6 Hawstone Road at around 1:10pm. Gregg then robbed the owner/operator of Wade Floors, a 51 year old McVeytown male.
When Granville Township Police arrived at the scene Gregg resisted arrest and was subsequently involved in an aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
Gregg was then found to be in possession of a control substance. On March 29, Gregg was was taken into custody. He is lodged at the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail.
The owner/operator of the business suffered minor injuries during the robbery.
FERMANAGH TOWNSHIP CRASH
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a crash at the intersection of Arch Rock Road and Pebble Drive in Fermanagh Township, Juniata county.
A 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was sitting at the Pebble Drive stop sign and pulled into the path of a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep struck the rear tire.
The Jeep did not suffer any damage, the Cruze suffered a broken hubcap. Both operators were wearing seatbelts and did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
LOCAL SPORTS:
Due to the forecast, Port Royal Speedway has announced that the start time for motor starts on Saturday, April 1 will now be at 1pm. They will then directly go into warmups and heats in an attempt to beat the anticipated bad weather.
Pit gates will open at 11am and admission gates at noon.
They plan on proividing an update at 9am Saturday.
