JUNIATA SOFTBALL TO PLAY FOR TRI VALLEY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
Juniata Softball defeated Susquenita 8-7 at East Juniata to qualify for the Tri Valley League Championship which will be played on Tuesday, May 16 at Line Mountain.

MCALISTERVILLE CHILD ENDANGERMENT
A McAlisterville man faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child. Troopers were called to 168 McAlister Drive in Fayette Township Sunday night and found 31 year-old Payton Kerstetter of McAlisterville had allegedly assaulted a 13-year-old juvenile male. Charges have been filed through district court.
WALKER TOWNSHIP CRASH
No injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Walker Township, Juniata County. Police say vehicle driven by 21 year old Brock Rusho of Mifflintown was stopped at the intersection of Nelson Road and William Penn Highway. That’s when a vehicle driven by 18 year old Isabella M Chable of Lewistown signaled a left turn, as Rusho then pulled into Chable’s path, striking the car. Chable’s Ford Escape had to be towed from the scene. Rusho will be charged with the crash. No injuries to either driver.
