MIFFLINTOWN TEACHER ASSUALTED

Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating an incident of aggravated assault in Milford Township, Juniata County.

An 18 year old male punched a 39 year old female teacher in the incident. Charges are pending.

ARCH ROCK ROAD DRUG POSSESSION

State Police at Lewistown conducted a traffic stop at the Arch Rock Road exit of Route 322.

The operator of the 2002 Buick, a 23 year old Lewistown female, was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

DELAWARE TOWNSHIP CRASH

Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a crash on Route 22 Eastbound just east of Platt Hollow Road in Delaware Township, Juniata County.

Eddie G Grayson Jr, 58 of Grovetown, Georgia struck a bear, which then caused his vehicle to travel off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a traffic sign and sustained disabling damage.

Grayson was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and refused medical attention.

PORT ROYAL RIVER BRIDGE CLOSING DATE

The Port Royal River Bridge will officially close on January 3, 2023 and remain closed until July 2023.

The purpose of the closure is to replace the portion of the bridge that spans the railroad tracks. A detour will be in place.
