HARRIS PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
Following his arrest in the Summer of 2022 Peyton W Harris, 20 of Mifflintown, stood before Common Pleas Judge Andrew Bender on Tuesday and plead guilty to Possession of Child Pornography and Furnishing Alcohol to Minors.
The other five charges against Harris were dropped. Harris had been charged with three felonies after an investigation into the former subsitute school staff member revealed that he kissed a student aged 16 and had filmed the student engaged in sexual acts without consent at a party held at his home in Milford Township, Juniata County.
A plea agreement is in place, however if given the maximum sentence Harris could face up to 7 years imprisonment and a $15,000 fine on the child pornography charge and one year imprisonment and a $2,500 fine on the Furnishing Alcohol charge.
MILFORD TOWNSHIP DUI
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown investigated a one vehicle crash on Licking Street in Milford Township, Juniata County.
Jonathan J Kauffman, 18 of Mifflintown was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a guide rail and overturned.
It was determined that Kauffman had consumed alcohol prior to the crash. He was transported by Port Royal EMS to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
