The Sun Sets On Another Year Of High School Sports
Today marks the end of our 2021-22 high school sports broadcasting season. This year we were able to bring you 71 games/matches from both Juniata & East Juniata High Schools making it our busiest and most listened to sports year ever. Thank you to our listeners and sponsors. Without them none of this would be possible. Please take the time to visit their establishments and support them.

Also, thank you to the JCSD staff and administration for all of their help and support, particularly AD Travis Quici. With all of the cancellations and postponements in the winter and spring, sports would be impossible to follow without an AD who keeps everyone informed and is able to stay organized in a hectic time. When WJUN/WLZS left the county in 2015, JCR was created to keep our local radio traditions alive and high school sports was at the top of that list. When we had expectations when we started this seven years ago and we have definitely exceeded them. While high school sports will go away for the summer, JCR will not. Our summer will feature Wheels 24/7 and all of it's programming. The sports side will continue to feature Racing Roundup with Brad Strawser, and we hope to do a few Racing Roundup specials. Having one of the best dirt tracks in the world right in the backyard helps with that! We're also looking at doing some local summer sports and will pass along more information about that when we have it. And to wrap it up, thank you to our staff for making the wheels turn. Some faces you see and hear, some you don't, and some you don't want to. Thank you for a great year. Year EIGHT of Friday Night Football on JCR will kickoff on Friday, August 26 when Clearfield comes to Dietrick Field @ Klingensmith Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7pm, air time as always will be 6:30pm. So for the final time this season for Seth Hart, Shane Nelson, Steve Harris, Brad Strawser, Seth Dowling, Quincy Piper, Fred Parnell, Lyndsay Hart, Ashley Maneval, Coy Shaffer, Jim Fosselman, , Kier Harris, Joe Arbogast, Bob St Clair, Meteorologists Seth Cohen and John Wetherbee from Meadville to Mt Carmel, from Mansion Park to Forbes Road, this has been juniatacountyradio.com sports.
