CREWS FROM SIX COUNTIES BATTLE LACK TOWNSHIP BLAZE


Crews from Juniata, Mifflin, Perry, Franklin, Huntingdon, and Cumberland Counties battled a 3 alarm chicken barn fire in Lack Township, Juniata County.


At around noon on Sunday, November 23, Juniata County 911 received a call reporting a fire at the barns owned by Tyler Parker of East Waterford. Crews arrived to find one barn fully involved with smoke from another.


The barns were empty at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported.



FLORIDA MAN INTOXICATED ON LEWISTOWN BRIDGE


Lewistown Police responded to the foot bridge off of South Dorcas Street in Lewistown, Mifflin County.


Juveniles reported a male was intoxicated, talking about demons and about jumping off of the bridge. Upon arrival, police found a homeless man from Florida that was staying at a nearby shelter.


The male was transported back to the shelter, but police were then called back to the shelter for disruptive behavior.


The male was told to leave the shelter and warned not to return.


Shortly before 1:00am the following night, officers and EMS were called to South Walnut Street and Pannebaker Avenue. The man told EMS he was picked up by a van, assaulted and dropped off under a bridge.


A witness reported the subject had earlier been passed out at a gas station on East Walnut Street and force had to be used to wake him up.


The man reported that someone stole his wallet and phone despite the wallet being in possession and despite the fact that he used his phone to call EMS.


The man then told officers that his level of intoxication must have been from captors forcing alcohol into his throat or rectum.


The man was transported and left in the care of Lewistown Hospital.




SPRUCE HILL TOWNSHIP DOMESTIC


Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to an incident on Ebenezer Church Road in Spruce Hill Township, Juniata County.


A domestic dispute was repoted on the 700 block of Ebenezer Church Road. Benjamin Imes, 32 of Port Royal, was cited for harassment physical contact in the incident.
