FAYETTE TOWNSHIP TRACTOR TRAILER CRASH


Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown have released information on a crash that happened on October 23 in Fayette Township, Juniata County.


Thomas Byers, 46 of Mt Pleasant Mills, was traveling on Route 35 when his truck left the roadway adn struck a mailbox and utility pole. The pole was snapped off and landed on top of the trailer. The trailer sustained disabling damage, Byers was uninjured in the crash.


PSP was assisted on the scene by Fayette Fire, Fayette Township EMS, and PPL. Byers was cited in the crash.



PERRY COUNTY INCIDENT UNDER INVESTIGATION


Pennsylvania State Police at Newport are investigating an incident in Northeast Madison Township, Perry County.


According to police, Jack Coble, 72 of Honey Grove reported to police an incident of harassment at 11195 Fort Robinson Road in Northeast Madison Township, Perry County.


Lucas Bryner, 29 of Honey Grove, has been charged in the incident which remains under investigation.



JUNIATA TOWNSHIP CRIMINAL MISCHIEF


Pennsylvania State Police at Newport responded to an incident in Juniata Township, Perry County.


Kenneth Mummah, 53 of Port Royal, reported that a juvenile shot a BB gun at his 2025 Silverado near Cold Storage Road and Middle Ridge Road.


The victim is willing to cooperate with prosecuting the case, as a result no charges will be filed in the incident.



ROCKHILL BOROUGH CRASH


Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon responded to a crash on Meadow Street in Rockhill Borough, Huntingdon County.


Danny Richardson III, 19 of Rockhill Furnace, was traveling at an unsafe speed on Meadow Street when he lost control of his 2005 Chrysler 300. The vehicle turned counterclockwise on the wet roadway. Richardson's vehicle struck a fire hydrant, then a sign and a fence belonging to the East Broad Top Railroad.


Richardson III fled the scene with two other passengers who are unknown along the railroad tracks. A witness to the crash who knew Richardson saw him getting out of the drivers seat after the crash.


Richardson III has been charged in the crash.



LEWISTOWN PUFF N SNUFF THEFT SUSPECT


Lewistown Police responded to the Puff-N-Snuff on West Fourth Street.


A male playing the Skills machine was previously a theft suspect. Mark Byrd, 63 of Downingtown, did not provide identification or an address to police. Byrd immediately repaid the store for the theft.


Officers instructed Byrd to stand in front of the store while they identified him. While trying to identified, Byrd fled on foot behind the store. Byrd had to be shoved to the ground to be apprehended. Nobody was injured in the incident. Byrd was cited for evading arrest.
