CREWS BATTLE TWO BLAZES IN JUNIATA COUNTY
Fire crews were busy as they battled two fires in Juniata County.
In the afternoon, crews were called to 314 Market Street in Port Royal Borough for a reported apartment fire. Upon arrival, flames were observed from a rear window with fire in the attic.

The fire was quickly knocked down.
No injuries were reported.
Later Tuesday, crews were called to Treen Box & Pallet on Center Road in Walker Township for a four alarm fire.
Crews arrived to find a working fire in shop 1 at the facility. Cold temperatures and ice complicated battling the blaze. Companies from Juniata, Perry and Mifflin Counties were all on scene as well as Walker Township and PennDot. The fire was brought under control around around 9pm Tuesday evening.
No injuries were reported.
ROUTE 322 CRASH
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a two vehicle crash on Route 322 east near the Thompsontown Exit in Delaware Township, Juniata County.
Richard Martin, 27 of Philadelphia, was traveling through the construction zone in his 2021 Subaru Forester when he struck the guide rail.
Martin's vehicle was then struck by a tractor trailer driven by Paul Martin, 54 of Reynoldsville causing disabeling damage to the Subaru.
Both drivers were uninjured and were wearing seatbelts. PSP was assisted on the scene by Thompsontown Fire and EMS, PennDot and Gray's Towing.
SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP THEFT
Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon responded to a reported theft in Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County.
A 74 year old Huntingdon woman reported that she had left a bottle of Patron Tequila for a guest at a hotel. The bottle was taken by an unknown actor.
The bottle of tequila was valued at $58.29.
