The Fred Parnell Memorial Broadcast Booth

As many of you know, last week when we aired our 10th anniversary show we dedicated it to Fred Parnell as he was facing an uphill battle with his health.

Unfortunately, Fred passed away this morning.

Since the beginning of Juniata County Radio, Fred was always there to help when needed, no matter the task. He rarely missed an event that we were broadcasting and was always happy to help. From keeping stats, to being on the air, to providing history and being a great friend to us all, Fred will be very very missed.

With that said, from this day on, all sporting events broadcast on Juniata County Radio will be done so from the "Fred Parnell Memorial Broadcast Booth".

Plans are being made now to honor Fred on the air during the Juniata vs Camp Hill game on September 19.

Arrangement and service announcements will also be announced in the coming days.
