JUNIATA COUNTY FAIR UNDERWAY
The 169th Juniata County Fair got underway in Port Royal on Saturday, September 2. The fair runs through Saturday, September 9 and will be capped off with the 56th edition of the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway. For results from Saturday, September 2 see below. For a full schedule of fair events visit juniatacountyfair.com. DOG LAW INCIDENT Pennsylvania State Police responded to an incident on William Penn Highway in Mifflintown Borough, Juniata County. PSP determined through investigation that a dog owned by Lindsay Cruz, 29 of Mifflintown, was attacked by a Pitbull owned by Amy Eby, 46 of Mifflintown while Cruz was walking her dog on the sidewalk. Eby was cited through Magisterial District Court. LOYSVILLE ESCAPEE CAPTURED Pennsylvania State Police have captured 17 year old Aubree McClendon after he escapped from the Loysville Youth Development Center near Loysville, Perry County. McClendon was captured Sunday morning after being on the run since Saturday afternoon. WALKER TOWNSHIP HIT AND RUN Nobody was incured in a crash that occured at the intersection of William Penn Highway and High School Road in Walker Township, Juniata County. An undetermined vehicle struck a 2004 Toyota Solara driven by Kimberly Allen, 37 of Mifflintown. The undetermined vehicle was following too closely. Allen pulled off the roadway and and the other vehicle continued away from the scene. Allen and her passenger, Stacey M Cornwell, 37 of Mifflin, as well as a 9 year old male were not injured in the collision and were wearing their seatbelts.
