LEWISTOWN BURGLARY/DOMESTIC LEADS TO ARREST AND TWISTED TESTICLES


Lewistown Police responded to an incident on Pannebaker Avenue for a reported burglary turned domestic dispute.


Upon arrival, officers heard yelling from the second floor of the structure. Following entry through an open window, police made contact with three individuals. Police discovered Amanda Peffer, 36 of Lewistown, had been in a relationship with a female at the residence.


The female Peffer had been involved with lived at this location with her male paramour. Peffer began tearing up photos on the sidewalk. After being told to leave, Peffer opened a window and entered the second floor breaking the female's phone and assaulting her.


Peffer then grabbed the male's testicles and twisted them. This caused severe pain to the male. The male refused treatment but was advised by EMS that should the pain continue he should report to the hospital.


In the meantime, Peffer was found to have a warrant out for her arrest. Peffer was charged with burglary, simple assault, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief. She was taken into custody and lodged at the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.




MIFFLINTOWN WEIS MARKET THEFTS


Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating two incidents of theft from the Weis Market on William Penn Highway in Walker Township, Juniata County.


In the first incident, charges were filed against Kylie Dunn, 43 of Honey Grove for stealing merchandise from the store. Charges against Dunn were filed through District Judge Imes' office.


In a second incident of theft a suspect has been identified. Items stolen in the second incident include a toy wand, diapers, a toy shark, Birch Beer, Canola Oil and more. PSP continues their investigation of this second incident.



MIFFLIN COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL THREAT


Lewistown Police have concluded an investigation into an incident that occured on October 21 at the Mifflin County Middle School.


A message on the wall of a female bathroom stall said "Shooting, Tuesday Oct 21 @ 2:50". A 13 year old female told the school nurse after students had already been dismissed for the day.


Following a review of video by school staff, it was discovered that the 13 year old who reported the message had spent an excessive amount of time in the bathroom. The following day multiple students who had used that bathroom were interviewed but the student who reported the incident was not in school.


Following a staff review of the 13 year old's handwriting with the handwriting on the wall the student was interviewed the following day. The information provided contradicted statements made by other students. Lewistown Police then interviewed the student and their parent in a formal interview at their station.


When confronted with the information the student admitted to writing the message on the wall. Charges of disorderly conduct have been filed against the student.



MONROE TOWNSHIP THEFT


Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to Lauver Valley Road in Monroe Township, Juniata County.


A 60 year old Richfield man reported to police that someone stole his Honda GC160 Pressure Washer and a blue nozzel. Following an investigation by PSP, Tanika Vallati, 40 of Richfield, was charged.



MIFFLIN COUNTY BRIDGE WORK


Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that rehabilitation work on the Mifflin County Veterans Memorial Bridge that spans the Juniata River along Route 103 in Lewistown Borough and Granville Township will resume Monday, November 3. This work will improve the ride quality over the bridge, extend its service life, and improve its overall condition rating.
