MIFFLINTOWN WOMAN CONNECTED TO LEWISTOWN THEFT
Lewistown Police responded to the Nittany MiniMart located on East Walnut Street in Lewistown, Mifflin County.
A female in the store scanned seven bottles of soda in the self checkout. The female then was observed pulling a card from her wallet, looking back at cashiers, and touching the screen without making any attempt to pay for the items.
After reviewing video, the suspect has been identified as Cassie L I Mixco, 47 of Mifflintown. Mixco has several prior retail theft convictions.
Police say an arrest warrant will be obtained due to the felony grading of the offense.
JUNIATA COUNTY WOMAN FACING POSSIBLE DUI CHARGES
Mifflin County Regional Police conducted a traffic stop on West Freedom Avenue in Burnham Borough, Mifflin County.
Officers observed a Honda CRV with an expired registration. When they stopped the vehicle the driver was identified as Janelies Rodriguez Morales, 20 of Mifflin. Morales showed signs of impairment and an odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.
Following a field sobriety test, Morales was transported to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital for a blood draw. Charges are pending the blood draw results.
MIFFLINTOWN SCREEN DOOR DAMAGED
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown were called to North 3rd Street in Mifflintown Borough, Juniata County.
A 53 year old male from Mifflintown reported a criminal trespass on his property. A screen door valued at $225 was damaged.
A 22 year old male was charged in the incident.
LEWISTOWN MAN FACING DRUG CHARGES
Mifflin County Regional Police responded to Parkview Avenue in Derry Township, Mifflin County.
Penns Rheam, 27 of Lewistown, was found in a Toyota Echo. Rheam denied being passed out and told police that he was waiting on a friend and had been at that location for 15 to 20 minutes.
After Rheam was found to be displaying signs of impairment, a field sobriety test was conducted. Rheam was placed under arrest for DUI.
Officers discovered a "Crown Royal" bag between Rheam's legs. Inside the bag were hypodermic needles, bags of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and other items of drug paraphernalia.
A search warrant was obtained for the Toyota Echo. Inside the vehicle officers found marijuana and additional paraphernalia. Charges against Rheam are pending blood test results.
