MIFFLIN MAN ARRESTED, JAILED ON $500,000 BAIL

Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown have made an arrest in relation to an incident that occured earlier this month. On November 4 we reported that PSP responded to Spruce Hill Township to collect evidence of a shot from four individuals.

According to Magisterial District Court documents, Richard Imes, 63 of Mifflin, has been arrested on four counts of Aggrivated Assuault, four counts of Simple Assault; four counts of Recklessly Endagering Another Person, and one count of Criminal Mischief.

ABC27 reports that Imes had an issue with the individuals because he suspected they were hunting on his property. Imes reportedly pointed a pistol at one of the individuals. The full ABC27 report can be read by CLICKING HERE.

Court documents show Imes was lodged at the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail, which he was not able to post.

Imes had a Preliminary Hearing scheduled for 11am before Judge Tracy Powell, that has been continued to December 3 at 10am.

JUNIATA COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET THURSDAY

The Juniata County School District Board is scheduled to meet on Thursday, November 20 at 7pm in the District Administration building.

The agenda includes several items which include a motion to proceed with soliciting bids for construction of a secure vestibule at Tuscarora Junior High School and auditorium upgrades at East Juniata High School.

Also on the agenda is the approval of the resignation of East Juniata High School principal Daniel Koishal.

CITATION FILED AGAINST FAYETTE TOWNSHIP DOLLAR GENERAL

Pennsylvnaia State Police at Lewistown responded to the Dollar General store on Route 35 in Fayette Township, Juniata County.

On November 17 the fire alarm inside the store went off. This was the fourth such incident inside of the last 12 months. Citations have been filed against the store.
